QUESTION: How did you choose the name of your company?

It is derived from my family. I am the 14th of 15 children resulting in the long happy marriage of John & Rose. The company is named after me; the 14th and in honor of my Mom; hence the name 14th Rose.

QUESTION: How did you get started in leather purses design and manufacturing?

I used to sew clothes and thought about making a purse to go to a wedding. I loved it and wanted to make more and more.    I started with silk, lace or canvas. Leather seemed like a natural progression and I have received a wider audience once started to use leather.

QUESTION: How big is your team? How many people are working for you? What type of job positions is your company offering and what skills are required?

The team is about 30 people who are contract workers that specialize in sewing and photography. One site I have a part-time worker wears many hats.    

QUESTION: How many purses do you own? What is your favourite one and why?

Off the top of my head I would say have about 24 purses. My favorite is the Tag-A-Long purse, it is the purse style I carry the most. I find it to be a great day to nigh purse.   I personally feel it is a great example of form and function.
